Washtub Cottage

M-tje and I finished another house!

This is a little one!

It's also a kit from Petite Properties,

but this time the 1:144th version of Washtub Cottage! 

But we went even smaller.... 

We also put together this 1:288th kit

we got as a present with a subscription

on a Dutch dolls house magazine.

And 3 sizes together...

Candlewick House is finished

Today I've glued all the shingles in place and M-tje painted them!

And now the house is finished..

well, almost!!!

It has to be aged and it has to be furnished ofcourse

But for now we're done!!!

The new tennants already came to take a look!

Candlewick House

M-tje is trying out this improved miniature paint roller,

made by Dirk Buis.

I thought it would be very handy for painting

the parts of the Candlewick House...

and it was!!!!

In no time I painted all the parts of the house!!!

after painting all the parts,

the fun began....

putting the house together!

M-tje....if you push on that side...

I will push on the other side

When the internal walls were in place,

the floorboards had to be glued in.

Not my favorite part of the job!

But in front of the tv,

looking with one eye at Sherlock

and later on at Phantom of the Opera,

the floors went in very quickly

Then the walls and roof were put in place.

And the beams were put on the walls.

It's looking good already  

Next are the shingles!!!

Quarter scale shop

I have finished the shop!

Yesterday and today I've been busy with the floors...

It was very fiddly work,

even with my little paws!!

M-tje aged the outside.

(doesn't show on the photo) 

And now we are ready for our next house,

the Candlewick House!

I really love this one!!!
